Hi we are Noeleen and Lisa, the mother and daughter duo behind this blog … “The Crimson Koalas”.
Australian natives just like our namesake this blog will capture our journey and adventures to the United States.
Lisa: I am the daughter part of “The Crimson Koalas”. Daughter, girlfriend, sister, business analyst, radio presenter and so much more! I call Geelong, Victoria my home and share my 1960’s renovated retro home with my dog, Holly.
I originally started this blog so my mum and I could share our American adventure. One thing we have in common is our love of “comping” and the original reason for this blog. Thanks to Avon Australia and more importantly Mum’s photographic masterpiece depicting a breast cancer awareness message, we have won an all expenses paid holiday to New York City to participate in the Avon Walk For Breast Cancer on the 19th & 20th October 2013.
However, it has now become a means of capturing all our adventures, sometimes together and sometimes apart.
Noeleen: I’m also known as “Mother Bear” by my only daughter Lisa. My family also consists of 3 sons and 9 grandchildren. My dear Tony will be holding the fort while we are gallivanting around the USA looking after the needs of our two Burmese, Mr Snoop & Opal.
My many interests include genealogy, computer activities especially comping. CWA (Country Women’s Association) and U3A (University of the Third Age) through which I’m thoroughly enjoying my Egyptology and Advanced Photography Classes.
